Moving into a brand new house from Desozio Homes is full of excitement and the chance to make new memories in your new home.
However, when you step into your new home before your furniture and belongings, it can feel a bit odd.
After all, you’re standing inside this big, empty new house that’s not yet full of the features which will make it truly yours.
There are some things you can do to make it feel like it’s truly yours before your organize it with your items.
1. Clean the house
Yes it’s new, but there still might be dirt and debris in the house (you just never know).
And it’s much easier to clean an empty house the way you want it than a full house.
Give everything a deep clean, top to bottom.
No matter how nice everything looks on the surface or at the model home, you’re certain to find random dust bunnies, stray bits of paper or materials and other dirt and trash.
It’s a new home, but it may not be perfectly spotless.
And the only way for that to happen is to give the house a thorough cleaning.
2. Check the toilet seat (and replace it if necessary)
When using the toilet, you want to be as comfortable as possible.
And the toilet seat is a big part of that.
So if you find it uncomfortable or not to your liking, now’s the time to replace it with something that’s more suited to your needs.
3. Take a bath or shower
Once you’ve finished cleaning everything, take a nice relaxing bath or shower (make sure you have some fresh, clean clothes to change into).
It may seem odd to bathe in a strange place, but by time you get out of the tub or shower, you’ll feel right at home.
4. Get your internet set up
There may be no furniture to sit on or a TV to watch, but with your internet hooked up, you can still stay connected with your friends and to the world.
You’ll be busy cleaning and moving. But at some point, you’ll need a break. If there’s nothing to do, you can at least surf the net.
And if you’re the type of person who loves to share everything with everyone, why not post pictures of your new home community adventures on social media sites like:
By doing this, you’ll be sharing to all your friends that this is “your place” – and you’ll feel the same way too.
5. Run around from room to room
There’s no furniture to get in the way, which makes it easier to zip around the house.
Better yet, make funny faces and silly noises as you do it.
After all, it’s your new home. Who’s going to stop you or look at you funny?
